Biographical Sketch

Caiping Lu earned his B.E., M.S., and Ph.D. at China University of Mining and Technology, and got the Professor position in 2013. At present, He is studying at the University of Toronto as a visiting professor with supervision of Professor Paul Young. His expertise is in rock mechanics and rockburst prevention, especially in the areas of laboratory characterization of acoustic emission and vibration of coal and rock subjected to stress, in-situ acoustic and seismic monitoring and warning of rockburst and corresponding prevention technologies.
